Ladders
Ladders — particularly telescopic and multipurpose designs — are one of the most unsafe product categories found on online marketplaces.
FOLOUP has flagged dozens of listings where ladders:
- Collapse under normal use
- Lack proper locking mechanisms
- Fail EN 131 safety certification
- Use thin or poorly welded aluminium
- Are falsely marketed with fake certification logos
These ladders often appear in bulk from third-party sellers and are promoted with misleading safety claims. We work closely with OPSS, Trading Standards, and industry bodies like the Ladder Association.
